Newcastle fans are starting to think ahead to the summer transfer window now that they’re safe in the Premier League, and the thought of the transfer window is a daunting one. NUFC360, a Geordie fan page on Twitter, has tweeted a list of the players who could be set for a St James Park exit, and a whopping 15 (fifteen) players have been named.
Elliot, Darlow, Clark, Barreca, Lazaar, Diame, Shelvey, Colback, Saivet, Murphy, Ritchie, Kenedy, Aarons, Joselu, Rondon could all potentially leave #NUFC this summer.
A serious rebuild will be needed. Rafa MUST be at the helm to oversee that. Massive job.

Being realistic, that number of professional footballers will not all be allowed to leave in one window, but the fact of the matter is that with so many of those below par and not up to the levels expected at St James Park, it’s possible. Of the 15 listed players, that you can see in the included tweet above, the majority of fans are only interested in keeping a handful.
The likes of Jonjo Shelvey, Salomon Rondon, Matt Ritchie and Mo Diame at a push are the ones that the Magpies will be sad to see leave, and if they do have a mass clear-out, whether Rafa Benitez is at the club or not they’ll need to do some serious business. Mike Ashley will certainly be a busy man, and whilst it may give him a few months off of checking his hate mail, he simply has to act this summer.

There is only four of those I'd keep.

Getting someone to buy some of them is a different matter

I bet they are quicker getting them 'over the line' through the out door than they are at getting replacements in.

Only 3-4 to play in our first team

These players are listed to leave every transfer window

Perez has said he wants to go too, i cant think of any other manager that could rebuild a squad other than Rafa, only prob is if he only gets the money he makes from them players

Half of that deadwood will still be at the club come September because the manager won't have been permitted to bring in suitable replacements.

Well every player could potentially leave! The only thing I want is Benitez to sign a long contract be given the money and buy the players he wants. Maybe Ashley to be bought out to. Small things #NUFC

Looks worse then it is really. Can probably count 6 at the most that actually feature in and around the first team squad

It may look daunting seeing so many players supposedly heading for an exit, but if Rafa stays then he’ll be able to control the situation and should be able to keep the club moving in the right direction.
