Mike Ashley has proven to the Magpies time and time again that he is the absolute worst man who could possibly be in charge of their football club, and today he’s shown that one more time. The Daily Mail has published a story with quotes from Miguel Almiron’s agent, Daniel Campos, who claims the Geordies need to up their offer by £8 million.
#NUFC have been told to increase their offer if they wish to sign Miguel Almiron from Atlanta United. The player's agent Daniel Campos has already agreed wages with Newcastle but they remain around £8million short of the MLS club's £25m asking price. [Daily Mail]

The 25-year-old playmaker has everything he needs to succeed in the Premier League. He has a yard of pace, the ability to score and create goals and he performs in the big matches. The only issue is that he’s not proven in Europe having come to the big time whilst playing in the MLS for Atlanta United. But if he was to up stakes and move to St James Park he could treble his valuation of £25 million.
That move, though, is one that they’re going to struggle to force through. Mike Ashley will need to stump up his offer of £17 million by a whopping £8 million if he wants to sign the midfielder, and it doesn’t take a die-hard Newcastle fan to know that the odds of that happening are slim to none. This has left the Magpies absolutely fuming, and you can bet they’ll be taking their anger out on Ashley.

Is Almiron a struggling chain of department stores? If not, there’s no chance of Ashley paying that.

This is a joke, a player of this calibre willing to join us and the club won't pay £25m!!!! In relative terms this is paltry, Liverpool and City both just sold youth players for £24m and £22m. Not to mention £25m is a drop in the water if he provides what's needed for survival.

Mike Ashley – Oblivious to the reslity of the football market. We won't be signing a 25 year old for 25 million.

— John Ainsworth (@johnnyains) January 10, 2019

The Geordies have no faith in bringing Almiron on board now, and will just hope they can get someone on this month to hel[p them stay up.
