Newcastle fans hate the transfer window. For them, it’s nothing more than a grim period of time where they find themselves being linked to players, getting their hopes up and then being let down by Mike Ashley. This January is no different, and the Magpies have little faith in these reports from France Football surrounding a new right-back.
#NUFC are looking at both Kenny Lala (27) from RC Strasbourg and Valentin Rosier (22) from FCO Dijon, to strengthen the right back position. Both have appeared in left back positions. No quote on prices for either. [France Football]

The reports claim that the Geordies are interested in signing both Kenny Lala and Valentin Rosier from Strasbourg and FCO Dijon, however, with both of the defenders in fine form this season and, the chances are the Geordies won’t be able to stump up the required fee to bring either of the pair in, let alone both of them, as they continue their hunt for new defenders.
At the moment, the only right-backs that the Magpies have under Rafa Benitez are DeAndre Yedlin and Javier Manquillo. Whilst the former is a brilliant option who has proved his worth on a number of occasions, Manquillo is godawful and the fans would love to see their side bring in either Lala or Rosier to see the Spaniard forced out.
You can read the Magpies’ verdict on the right-back rumours here:
Lala is having the season of his life. There’s no way we fork out for him.

Sounds like more goal posts are set to move just at the last minute.

Looking at, monitoring, considering a bid for, on their radar. The endgame is always the same though.

Window shopping, cut, paste and repeat. Don't you just love the FCB.

Most of the Newcastle fans are already of the opinion that they won’t be signing anyone, and they’ll be hoping their club can do something to prove them wrong.
