Newcastle fans have known for a long time that Isaac Hayden doesn’t want to be a Newcastle United player. The young midfielder has had off-field issues and has tried on multiple occasions to force a move away from St James Park for family reasons, all to no avail so far.

Whether the young midfielder is desperate to stay or desperate to go, the fans are loving the way he’s been playing. Earlier in the season the ex-Arsenal man was having a torrid time on the pitch for the club and the fans couldn’t wait for him to leave. His red card against Cardiff City summed it up, and they never believed that Pep Guardiola would claim he was too much to handle.
That, though, is exactly what the Centurian manager had to say about Hayden and his midfield partner Sean Longstaff after the Magpies overcame City at St James Park last Tuesday. Hayden and co were at their very best when Manchester City came to town, and whilst they may not have been able to get a result at Wembley, they put in a resilient performance against Tottenham on Saturday, leading to the fans praising their 23-year-old midfielder.

He’s actually a decent player, be sad to see him go

Gotta admire his honesty, we all know he wants out and it would be easy to throw all his toys out of the pram.
But instead, he’s showing that he is a very decent professional and for that, he’s definitely deserving of respect, also showing he’s a pretty decent player too

He has had a few good games, a solid and professional player!

He is a good player when he is forced. Obviously he’s been having family trouble? that’s why he was wanting to leave on deadline so he can be closer to his family.

@IsaacHayden65 think you have done well. I know you want to leave, so Thanks for being a professional about things. Doing your business on the pitch. Hope you get your move to where you want this summer.

Fair play to the lad. Keep it up

At least he’s not in a strop, he’s being professional about it which is respectable
