On Saturday, Newcastle fans saw their club pick up just their 3rd point of the season when they drew 0-0 away at St Mary’s. The Geordies had a masterclass from Martin Dubravka to blame for their point and the fans, whilst not having much to shout about, have been raving over their goalkeeper.
We need to wrap Martin Dubravka up in cotton wool and place him in a safe spot between every match. He will be key if we are to stay up; absolutely terrific keeper. #NUFC

The Slovenian shot-stopper is a credit to Newcastle United. When those around him and in front of him have been below par his levels haven’t stopped and if he can carry on going the way he is and try and help his side grab a few more clean sheets then he could be the man to inspire his side to an unlikely survival, although from where they are now that looks like it’s a very long way away as they have three points from ten games.
The fans will be pleased to know that at the very worst they’ll be making a profit from the 29-year-old. After Rafa Benitez opted to sign him on-loan last January he quickly won over The Magpies with an incredible performance as Benitez masterminded a 1-0 win over Manchester United and since then he hasn’t looked back, signing permanently for them in the summer for just a few million. Whilst the fans don’t want him to leave, if they g down they’ll be able to demand at least £10 million for him.
You can read The Magpies’ thoughts on Dubravka here:
We Won’t stay up, he ll be sold for £10/15 million if Ashley sells up, he ll asset strip everything, I ll take it if it means he goes mind

We need to make sure a top 6 team don't fancy him. De gear is on the move this summer so man u will be looking for a replacement so might spurs. How we got him so cheap I'll never know.

I’m surprised the big clubs aren’t offering big money after the 10 months he’s had in the premier league.

The Geordies love Dubravka and are pinning any hopes of survival on him this season.
