Newcastle fans have been enjoying the break from club football over the last week or so, but will be desperate to get back to it against Arsenal on Monday night. During the week off, though, they saw a quite disturbing act from their record transfer Miguel Almiron, who was sent off for Paraguay for a shocking challenge against Mexico.

The Magpies have nothing but love for their star signing January capture, yet if he does something similar to what he did in the week whilst in the black and white of Newcastle that could quickly change. During the game against Mexico, Paraguay found themselves 3-0 down by the half an hour mark. However, after pulling one back just before the hour mark, Almiron threw the game away minutes later.
Had the young naive attacking midfielder done something like that for Newcastle the fans would be absolutely screwing. The youngster single-handedly killed off any chance of a comeback for his side, minutes after they were given hope by what would end up being just a consolation goal, and if that has been done by Almiron in black and white as opposed to red and white then there would be some serious outrage in the Northeast.

Deserves never to play for them again.

wildly unnecessary tackle. Deserved red card. If he did that for #nufc I'd be furious

Unless he does it when he's playing for us I'm not bothered.

The Geordies have let this one go as it didn’t happen whilst he was playing for them, but any act like this at St James Park could seriously hurt the midfielder’s reputation.
