DeAndre Yedlin has been one of the most involved players for Newcastle United so far this season. The American right-back has been scored at both ends for the club this season, registered an assist and missed a game through injury and we’re only four games in the new season. Now, though, the 25-year-old will be jetting off to pay for his country and the fans need him to stay fit.

Yedlin has slowly and quietly worked his way to becoming one of the most important players at St James Park. He’s the first choice right-back ahead of Javier Manquillo and the supporters love having him at the club for both his electric pace on the pitch and his charismatic personality off of it. There’s no doubt that the ex-Tottenham man is a fan favourite in the Northeast and they’ll be gutted if he comes back from international duty injured.
Newcastle United are yet to win a game this season but they do have one point on the board. They’ve been dealt the toughest start of any side in the league and after facing Chelsea, Manchester City and Spurs in their four opening games, they’ve still got to face Arsenal and Manchester United in two of their next four. If they are to get a result out of either of those two they’ll need Yedlin fit and firing and an injury now would be tragic.

The fans love Yedlin and will be fuming if he gets injured whilst playing for his country this week.
