Newcastle fans on Twitter are desperate for Salomon Rondon to be signed permanently but the Geordies are losing hope in signing the Venezuelan forward. With a striker needed should Rondon not return to St James Park next season and Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck leaving The Emirates, Newcastle fans are discussing the 28-year-old.

Welbeck is a very injury prone player and it seems a lot like he’s only good for morale in and around the squad and in the dressing room. The Magpies are in a position where whatever happens this summer could be crucial, and if they were to sign the Arsenal man, who The Mirror have claimed is leaving North London, it would be a definite step backwards given his track record with injuries.
Welbeck may be younger than Rondon but the big target man is definitely who the fans want ahead of Welbeck. His ten Premier League goals have made him a key figure this season, meanwhile, Welbeck has missed almost the entire campaign through injury and even when he does play his goal return could certainly be more impressive, and the Geordies are going to be quick to get away from this one.
You can read the Geordies’ thoughts on a Welbeck deal here:
No thanks, we have had plenty of sick notes over the years, we don’t want him eating into our little wage budget. 46 starts in 5 years, no thanks.

Nope, wages too much for a player that will barely play

He's not as good as Rondon #ashleyout

High wages, occasionally excellent, injury prone. Everton or West Ham will take him.

hope not we don't need wasting any budget on injury prone players

The Magpies are desperate to avoid signing Welbeck and will hope that their club can avoid moving for the injury prone front man.
