Newcastle handed setback in pursuit for PSG’s Stanley N’Soki - Latest News

Rafa Benitez is thought to be seeking reinforcements for his Newcastle United squad this January, however, it appears he may have just been handed a setback in his pursuit for one of his targets.

According to a report by RMC Sport, The Magpies have seen a loan offer for Stanley N’Soki turned down by Paris Saint-Germain.

Newcastle are understood to have tried to bring the teenager to St James’ Park in the summer but failed to get a deal done.

N’Soki is thought to ‘like’ the prospect of playing for the Premier League outfit as well, but it appears a move is not on the cards.

Benitez is believed to have held an interest in the left-back for a while, but may now have to turn his attention elsewhere as the deadline fast approaches.

The Verdict:

N’Soki is a very good prospect, however, it appears PSG are unwilling to let the talented teenager leave the club.

Newcastle are in need of adding a left-back to their ranks this winter and the 19-year-old could have been an ideal signing for The Toon Army.

The Magpies sit just outside the relegation zone and with just under a week or so left of the transfer window, Benitez will be keen to see new faces arrive in the northeast.
