Newcastle United managed to secure their second successive Premier League victory yesterday against an in-form Bournemouth side.
The Magpies will be desperate to replicate their recent form after the international break, with the opportunity to climb up the table and into the top half. Although, it appears as if the club are eyeing a potential addition, as according to O Jogo, Newcastle United are lining up a move for FC Porto’s Yacine Brahimi.
Interestingly, the Algerian midfielder is available for free in the summer.
And, it’s thought that Everton, West Ham and Newcastle are interested in making a move for the midfielder.
Brahimi has been one of the standout performers for Porto since he joined from Granada back in 2014 and has plenty of European experience under his belt.
With his contract running out at the end of the season, he will soon be able to negotiate with other clubs, so a Premier League switch could be on the cards.
Newcastle United will be keen to bring in reinforcements during the January transfer window having failed to ensure a consistent flow of goals this season.
The Magpies have suffered in the final third this season and are in desperate need of some extra quality and creativity in the final third, so moving for Brahimi seems like a sensible idea.
Indeed, the Algerian international has been sensational for his club and country, with a move to the Premier League being just rewards for his efforts.
