Newcastle United: Fans loving Allan Saint-Maximin after West Ham win

Newcastle United secured a vital 3-2 win against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Saturday (via BBC Sport).

The Toon hadn’t scored more than one goal in any league game prior to their visit to east London, but produced a clinical display with goals from Ciaran Clark, Federico Fernandez and Jonjo Shelvey helping them earn a valuable three points.

Victory moves Steve Bruce’s side away from the relegation zone, at the time of writing they sit in 15th place and four points clear of third from bottom Southampton (BBC Sport).

Whilst the three goalscorers naturally grabbed most of the headlines for Newcastle, many supporters were praising the impact of Allan Saint-Maximin.

Indeed the Frenchman was outstanding in the match and had three shots on target, completed five successful dribbles, drew two fouls and played one key pass, finishing with a WhoScored rating of 7.59.

The pace and dribbling ability of the winger could be a real asset to Newcastle this season, and fans will hope that he can produce this type of performance on a consistent basis.

Many supporters were left drooling over his performance against the Hammers, here is what some had to say about his display on Twitter…
