Newcastle United: Fans praise Florian Lejeune following first game back from injury

Florian Lejeune played 45 minutes for Newcastle U23s against Middlesbrough in Premier League 2 last night in a bid to get back to full fitness, and it’s fair to say Newcastle fans were impressed by his outing.
Should Newcastle sign Jetro Willems permanently?
Yes

No

After suffering successive anterior cruciate ligament injuries, the latest of them against Crystal Palace in April, Lejeune hasn’t been able to have the impact he did in his first season for the Magpies.
The campaign before last, Lejeune played 24 times and notched two assists – playing a pretty major first team role in contributing towards Newcastle’s survival.
And now it looks like Newcastle fans could see that fine form once again – with the 28-year-old strutting his stuff in the Magpies’ 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough U23s.
A clip has emerged on the club’s official twitter page of Lejeune effortlessly dribbling the ball out of defence to calm a potentially dangerous situation.
As a result, some Newcastle fans can’t wait to have him back.
So happy to see this man again 😎
