The Newcastle United fans who are gathered around the jukebox in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports that one of their defenders injured himself, following their side’s latest defeat.

Janmaat was forced of the pitch during the first half with a groin strain, falling awkwardly trying to intercept a Saido Mane pass.

It is also reported that their were some strong words between all they players following the defeat, which leaves the club perilously close to playing Championship football next season.
The Newcastle fans in The Tavern are delighted the players are beginning to take a long had look at themselves, but fear it’s to late and that they will be relegated before the end of the season.
Our landlord has to agree with the Magpies fans, and feels Newcastle United are well and truly doomed, and are undoubtedly destined for the Sky Bet Championship!
