It’s a real busy period in the summer transfer window for Leeds United right now and Whites fans have just received news regarding another potential incoming, courtesy of Sky Sports.
Sky report that Dave Hockaday’s side are set to offer former Newcastle United reject Nile Ranger a trial at Elland Road.
Leeds have of course just sold Ross McCormack to fellow Championship outfit Fulham for a whopping £11 million and the Peacocks’ Italian owner Massimo Cellino is currently investing in the squad.
The Yorkshire club have already brought in three players from Italian football this summer in the form of Marco Silvestri, Tommaso Bianchi and Souleymane Doukara and also Stuart Taylor from Reading.
Ranger could be their fifth summer signing if he impresses on trial but our resident Leeds fans aren’t sure this is the wisest move given Rangers’ roll of dishonour off the pitch in years gone by.
Not only that but he only managed to net seven goals in 19 appearances for League One outfit Swindon Town last season.
Ranger is still only 23-years-old however and perhaps his career could take a turn for the better with a switch to Elland Road.
Leeds United fans. Ranger is known as a bad boy within football so would you want him anywhere near your squad for the 2014/15 campaign? Let us know your thoughts below.
