Premier League clubs around the country will no doubt be pleased to see Newcastle United back on the fixture list for next season, with the Magpies securing promotion from the Championship after just a season away.
Toon manager Rafa Benitez iz expected to be massively active in the transfer window this summer though, and the Toon Army here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for some big name signings to welcome to St James Park in the summer months.
Our landlord thinks that they need to strengthen their ranks up front if they are to challenge and succeed in the top flight, and one player who he has mentioned is Bayer Leverkusen front man Kevin Volland.
Valued at £14.45m by Transfermarkt, the impressive 24-year-old striker has built a decent reputation for himself in the Bundesliga over the past few years, and a move to the Premier League could be the next logical step for the German.
His movement and finishing are impressive traits in his game, and Newcastle could do far worse than looking to sign someone like Volland, who clearly possesses quality in abundance.
He would not be someone who would break the bank for the Toon, but would certainly bring with him something that they currently lack, and could be the perfect foil to play alongside Dwight Gayle.
Newcastle fans, what do you think? Would Volland be a good signing? Let us know in the comments!
