As you can tell it is quite a slow day in here but the discussion regarding Sagna is a little more relevant than they think according to Metro.
Today’s edition of the London paper claims that Arsenal are in the market for French international right back Mathieu Debuchy who currently plays for Newcastle.
The 28-year old, who is currently first choice right back for Les Bleus ahead of Sagna, told the Newcastle Evening Chronicle that he badly misses playing in the Champions League.
Arsene Wenger had been keen on a deal for Ivory Coast international defender Serge Aurier of Toulouse who impressed at the World Cup this summer.
However the French tactician has been unable to agree a fee for the defender and he may now turn his attentions to Debuchy with the lure of Champions League football potentially proving too hard to resist.
Arsenal fans. Losing France’s second choice right back and signing their first choice right back would be the perfect maneuver, wouldn’t it? Let us know your thoughts below.
