Newcastle United face a difficult task of getting back to winning ways following their 0-0 draw with Fulham when they take on Premier League leaders Liverpool at Anfield later today.

James Milner, however, is taking nothing for granted and believes the visitors could provide a tricky test for his side, citing Rafael Benitez the main reason as to why.

The Breakdown

"He’s obviously shown over the years that he’s very good tactically and a very good manager," Milner told Liverpool's official club website when speaking about Benitez.

"He’ll set his team up and he’ll no doubt watch a lot of our games so he’ll know where he thinks our strengths and weaknesses are, so it’s down to us to be able to adapt."

Even with all of that being said, considering the form they are in right now, it is hard to look past a Liverpool win when the two sides meet.

However, looking at the bigger picture, Milner's words show exactly why Newcastle supporters should not be fearing the worst when it comes to the club's survival hopes.

The Magpies may have one of the weaker squads across the division but, in Benitez, they have one of the best managers who is tactically brilliant -- as mentioned by Milner.

Defensively, Newcastle are a very strong outfit, especially compared to the likes of Huddersfield Town and Fulham at the bottom.

Considering all of that, Premier League safety for another season should be on the cards for the Tyneside club, with or without Mike Ashley's backing in the upcoming transfer window.
