The Spanish manager should work with what he’s got and promote some of the youth products Newcastle United has to offer. Apart from the little money spent on goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, the St. James’ Park outfit have only brought in Kenedy on a loan deal and Ki Sung-yeung on a free transfer from Swansea City.
It’s been a long time since the Tynesiders have brought through the likes of Paul Gascoigne and Chris Waddle. In a football mad city like Newcastle, it is surprising the club cannot bring through more top quality talent. Down the road in Sunderland they have produced Jordan Henderson, Jordan Pickford and Conor Hourihane in recent times, Newcastle United should surely be hoping to compete with their neighbours in bringing through top quality talent.
