Newcastle United fans here in the Tavern will be hoping that their side can bring in a number of players over the course of the summer transfer window, as they flirted with the possibility of relegation at times this season.
Rafa Benitez will be looking to bring in a number of players during the summer transfer window, as many of our local residents want to see their side secure a European spot next season. And, it appears as if the Spaniard is already looking to dip into the transfer market, as according to Teamtalk, Newcastle have asked to take Kenedy on loan and are also keen on a summer deal for Tammy Abraham.
Newcastle have asked Chelsea to take Kenedy back on loan next season after witnessing his brilliance at St James’ Park this season.
The Brazilian has attracted interest from the likes of Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Arsenal, but the Magpies have already stated their intentions to try and persuade him to stay on and believe that Chelsea will grant them their wish.
Interestingly, it’s understood that Newcastle want another one of Chelsea’s youngsters, as Rafa Benitez is keen on a summer deal for Kenedy’s teammate Tammy Abraham.
Of course, with Joselu and Aleksandar Mitrovic inevitably heading for transfer window exits, the Magpies will want to welcome two new strikers to the club during the summer transfer window.
Encouragingly, Chelsea are believed to be keen for both players to go out on loan again, and Newcastle are set to get the first option on both players.
And, it looks as if Benitez has a third player in his sights as it’s understood that Nicolai Jorgensen is another target.
Supporters will be keen to see Kenedy stay for another season having witnessed his quality this season, as he was able to establish himself as one of their standout performers. Indeed, with Joselu set to leave the club after a woeful campaign, Benitez may be looking to bring Nicolai Jorgensen in as his replacement.
