Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to seeing how their side is going to bounce back from their defeat against Spurs at the weekend.
The men from St. James’ Park looked pretty solid until Jonjo Shelvey got sent off, leading Spurs to run out as 2-0 victors on Sunday afternoon.
A win against Huddersfield this weekend, then, would surely be the ideal tonic to get over that but with the Yorkshire club impressing against Crystal Palace, that is going to be easier said than done.
Indeed, the Magpies have already been given a setback ahead of the match with their fellow-promoted side with Mark Douglas on Twitter confirming that Florian Lejeune is out with an injury:
BREAKING: Lejeune out for 2-3 weeks. Dummett ditto.

The summer signing featured at the weekend for the Magpies but will now miss the next few games by the looks of things and the only consolation is that he is not out for longer than a few weeks maximum.
This once again underlines the need for Newcastle to sign some new players this summer with their squad looking still thin as we enter the final weeks of the window.
Lejeune looked solid enough for Newcastle and could be a good signing but if he and some others get injured over the season, the club currently doesn’t have enough quality back up right now.
