‘Hope the rumours aren’t true’, ‘Stay please’ – Newcastle United fans react to star’s Twitter post

Newcastle fans here in the Tavern are struggling to keep positive, with continuous bad results and a newly found stump in the sale of the club.

The Toon Army have been abysmal in recent times, with manager Rafa Benitez moaning about the lack of funds being provided, yet players such as Rolando Aarons – who has impressed during his limited appearances for the club – are seemingly unused by the gaffer.

Newcastle’s left-winger has only managed to feature in 4 games for the first-team this season, with him managing to tally a total of 2 goals, which just goes to show the potential the forward has if given the opportunity.

However, for any player housed under the Benitez legacy, it’s very difficult to gain any game-time for a manager who only seeks fit to provide minutes for those ready-made players that he’d signed in previous transfer windows.

Which has triggered interest from a whole host of Premier League and Championship clubs following the attacker’s stagnant position on Tyneside.

Yet, with Rolando Aarons waiting lonely in the wings, he hasn’t let this dampen his spirits as he took to Twitter to post a picture of himself in a jubilant mood.

So, with Aarons in high spirits, here’s what Newcastle fans thought of the reassuring post.
