Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for their side to start playing in the Premier League again with it just a summer away now.
After a tough season in the Championship the men from St. James’ Park managed to win the title on the final day and now the focus needs to be on building a side capable of staying in the top flight past 2017/18.
Rafa Benitez, then, will want to be given good funds to achieve that aim and, according to Lee Ryder on Twitter, he could be handed up to £100 million to spend.
That, then, would surely get some class players in whilst the news has also got many on Twitter talking too.
Here, then, is the best of the reaction:

@lee_ryder Hang on. We’ve had £50m then £70m was mentioned and now we’re up to £100m. Some paper seller will be saying it’s £120m before the weekend

@lee_ryder where did that figure come from?
— Rob H (@RHtoon) May 10, 2017
@lee_ryder love how we declare how much money we have to anyone we wanna buy from. Like walking into used car dealership shouting you got £8k to spend

@lee_ryder If he gets 50, including player sales, he’s done well

@lee_ryder Any maths behind the £100m? Ashley previously happy for £20m/year loss in PL. Now breakeven. Is this good news?!
