Newcastle have had a poor start to their Premier League campaign and Rafa Benitez will be hoping for his side to improve before it’s too late.
St. James’ Park turned out to be an extremely happy place last season as upon their top flight return as the Magpies finished in the top half with nothing more than hard work and great management to thank.
This season though hasn’t quite been up to that standard and that comes down to a number of factors but fans will tell you it’s the lack of investment.
The Magpies are without a win in the league thus far but by persuading a top, young forward like Ademola Lookman to join Newcastle on-loan, they could be a lot better of and have a much greater chance at having a season to remember, rather than one to forget.
Lookman, who is valued at £10.8 million on Transfermarkt, is a player that thrived when out on-loan in Germany but back in England, has really struggled to make an impact, largely due to the limited game-time.
When making 11 Bundesliga appearances last season, the 20-year-old scored five times and provided 4 assists in just six months with RB Leipzig.
Newcastle had a number of players who they could rely on to provide a goal threat last season but again, so far, they haven’t had that this season and that will an early worry for Rafa Benitez.
At just 20-years-old, Lookman still promises to be one of the countries best youngsters but that can only come true if he plays regularly. Newcastle would offer him that chance and if Everton let the deal happen, both parties could be very happy.
