Newcastle United: Fans disagree with Ally McCoist and Freddie Flintoff claim about Steve Bruce

Lots of Newcastle United fans have hit out at claims about Steve Bruce from Ally McCoist and Freddie Flintoff as they were shared on talkSPORT‘s official Twitter page.
Both pundits have urged the Tyneside club to stick with Bruce rather than bringing Rafael Benitez back, despite the prospective takeover lurking in the northeast.
Indeed, Bruce has led the Magpies to an FA Cup quarter-final against reigning Premier League champions Manchester City at St. James’ Park as well as guiding them to 13th place in the league so far, standing eight points clear of the relegation zone with nine games left to play if the season resumes (via BBC).
However, Bruce’s managerial record may not please the would-be owners, as they may seek to replace him if the prospective takeover goes through. The 59-year old has won 306 of his 799 matches as a manager, giving him a win ratio of just 38.3%, according to Transfermarkt.
The purchase of Joelinton, who has managed just one Premier League goal, for a club record £40m is also the most money he has spent on a player by far and the new owners may be more ambitious in terms of spending big, something which Bruce has rarely done.
Should Bruce be Newcastle manager after the takeover?
Yes

No

These members of the Toon faithful on Twitter gave their take on the claims about their club’s current manager:
Keeping Bruce would be the same as winning the lottery and continuing to drive your knackered old Ford Fiesta

If they cant block the takeover, make sure we have the worst manager the PL has ever seen.
Newcastle must remain mid table at all cost!

Literally never agreed with anything Talk Sport have ever said

Absolutely not. His managerial record/stats speak for themselves. He has made good of a bad situation but certainly not the manager to take us forward on a grand scale. We need someone who is respected as a Manager worldwide. I’d love to see Maxi Allegri but that’s IMO. ⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️
