According to Spanish reports, Newcastle are in the running for the signature of Nabil Fekir but fans are currently divided over the speculation.
The Magpies could be headed for an extravagant takeover as Amanda Staveley and co move in on their proposed £300 million deal. With new owners comes new vision, and plenty of high profile players have been linked with the club – the latest being Fekir.
The Frenchman almost secured a move to Liverpool back in 2018, but it fell through at the last minute and Fekir instead joined Real Betis for £17.7million (via BBC Sport).
But now, according to AS (via Chronicle Live), Newcastle have shown interest in the 26-year-old’s services. Fekir would reportedly command a £50m fee to prise him away from the Spanish outfit.
Fans are showing mixed reactions to the rumoured transfer link, with one supporter already saying ‘yes please’ at the idea of Fekir’s move to Newcastle. However, others are more skeptical, with one Magpie commenting that the story is ‘pointless’ due to the takeover not yet being completed.
Well at the moment we can not afford him, and if take over does happen and that’s a very big IF new manager might not want him so these stories are pointless

Mark, feel these articles shouldn’t be put out until it’s sold. It will only make everything worse when it all doesn’t happen!
