Newcastle United: Fans fume at takeover news that Saudi PIF will target Roma or La Liga if deal fails

Lots of Newcastle United fans were fuming after news about the prospective takeover emerged from the Daily Star that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) will turn their attention towards AS Roma or a club from La Liga if the deal in the northeast falls through.
As per the report, Roma have contacted Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), the man leading the bid at St. James’ Park, to discuss a possible takeover of the Italian club.
Their owner James Pallotta has hired Goldman Sachs to find a buyer for his club and has been alerted to the fact the Premier League have yet to approve the takeover of the Magpies. However, sources in Italy claim that he still expects the Saudis to become majority shareholders at the Toon. They also insist that Pallotta is not trying to hijack the deal at the 11th hour, not that it would be possible.
Are you still confident that the bid will go through?
Yes
