Newcastle United supporters have been somewhat despondent in recent times after seeing their team enter the current international break without a Premier League victory this season.
Rafa Benitez’s men went into their clash with champions Manchester City last time out having managed to pick up just one point from their first three league games, which came courtesy of a drab 0-0 draw at Cardiff City. And while the North East giants put up stern resistance against Pep Guardiola’s Citizens last weekend, it wasn’t enough to register their first win of the season as goals from Raheem Sterling and Kyle Walker either side of a DeAndre Yedlin equaliser sealed all three points for the North West club.
Consequently, there have been many downbeat Newcastle fans up and down the country in recent times, several of whom are continuing to voice their frustration with owner Mike Ashley, who again failed to back manager Rafa Benitez in the transfer window.
If Mike Ashley:
– Gave Rafa “every penny generated by the club”’for transfers
– Upgraded the training facilities
– Restored the stadium
Would he ever be able to restore his reputation amongst #NUFC fans?

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss has made it clear throughout his time at St James’ Park that he needs money to spend to bolster the Newcastle squad, but the 58-year-old was given just seven signings during the close season, two of which were loans while one other was on a free transfer.
And a poll run from the Twitter handle NUFC Polls regarding owner Ashley has stimulated quite a response from Magpies supporters on the social media platform, with many arguing that the damage has already been done regarding the relationship between the owner and the club’s fans…
The trust is broken forever. Any positivity shown by him I think the majority of fans would see as the calm before the storm

Absolutely not, I can’t believe anyone would contemplate selecting yes, the man (loose terms) is a parasite and is killing the club right in front of our eyes #NUFC

The summer was his last chance and final straw. Lied to the fans and manager one too many times…trust that will never be rebuilt by a token gesture because we know it will only be a matter of time until he screws us over again for personal gain.

No way back… Ashley has got to go. #AshleyOut

Nope, it’s gone past that no, the trust has been broken for years and is irreparable
