Newcastle United: Fans react to NUFC 360’s tweet about prospective takeover

Many Newcastle United fans have been talking about a tweet posted by NUFC 360 on their Twitter page which is a symbol of what could happen after the prospective takeover takes place at St. James’ Park.
The image shows a scuba diver, represented by 18 Premier League teams, about to be eaten by a shark, represented by Manchester City, in the ocean. However, there is an even bigger shark in the form of the Tyneside club that is about to gobble up both.
This is an interesting analogy given just how much money is set to be involved in the deal in the northeast. Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is leading the bid, sitting on an effectively limitless Public Investment Fund (PIF). There is also businesswoman Amanda Staveley, who has fairly deep pockets, as well as the Reuben brothers, both of whom are billionaires.
With all of them set to take part-ownership of the Magpies if their bid is approved, Newcastle could be set to be the wealthiest club in the top flight.
Do you think Newcastle can win the Premier League within the next 5 seasons?
Yes

No

These members of the Toon faithful responded to the tweet:
This is all very premature- this takeover needs to be completed. All this posturing is silly #NUFC

We’re going to be a laughing stock when the deal doesn’t go though

If you make a 1, b 2, etc. and then add up Newcastle United, it sums to 175. So on that basis, 4 days till #cans being the 17th May innit
