Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for their side to get going this season as the Premier League campaign draws even nearer.
The men from the north-east are surely determined to ensure a prolonged stay in the top flight under Rafa Benitez and it’s certainly going to be interesting to watch them try that.
Indeed, the Magpies’ fans, like their manager, will be hoping the new players that have signed during the window will settle in quickly and whilst we wait to see if they do, one man appears to be open to a loan move away.
Indeed, as per Chronicle Live, young goalkeeper Freddie Woodman is open to a move away from the club temporarily as he looks to gain more first team experience.
The Englishman won the U20 World Cup earlier this summer with the Three Lions and now he is clearly looking for ways that he can progress his career further.
That may not come at Newcastle this year, though, with the Magpies likely wanting experience to help guide them through this first season back in the big-time.
The men from the north-east have a very talented young goalkeeper in Woodman but it may be a bit of a big ask to throw him in goal for this campaign in the Premier League.
He does need to be playing football, though, and so it would make sense that a loan deal is sorted out for him as soon as possible.
