Newcastle will hope to invest during the January transfer window as Rafa Benitez and his staff could be massively boosted because of it.
The need for new players is very evident at St James’ Park right now, despite their recent spree of winning three games in a row.
This run though, has also highlighted how good the Magpies could be if their squad was stronger and they had more consistent options to turn to during the long Premier League campaign.
Attacking options aren’t Newcastle’s strong point and they would be massively improved if they tried to find a playmaker and goal-scorer in January.
Someone like Red Bull Salzburg’s Hannes Wolf is a player that Newcastle should sign after his brilliant performances on the pitch so far this season.
Wolf, who is valued at £5.4 million on Transfermarkt, is an exciting young talent with the world at his feet.
At the age of just 19, Wolf has surged into the first-team and contributed a great deal to the side that got to the Europa League semi-final last season.
He made a staggering 45 appearances in all competitions last season, popping up with 12 goals and eight assists during those games. Already this campaign he has bettered his assist tally with nine thus far and continues also to find the back of the net, with four goals to his name.
Newcastle will be craving an attacker with his quality as it’s clear to see that with only five goals between Rondon, Perez and Joselu, the Magpies are having some difficulties in not only scoring chances but creating them as well.
The 19-year-old has proven to be reliable in scoring and setting goals up, hence why Newcastle should make a bold move to sign him.
