Newcastle United: Alexandre Lacazette goal during 4-0 Magpies defeat warrants heavy scathing from supporters

Following Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette’s goal which sealed a dominant 4-0 win for Arsenal over a thunderous second-half display, many Magpies supporters have been slating the second-half performance which led to that moment – in particular, the ‘shocking‘ difference when compared to the first 45 minutes.
Going into half time at 0-0, having forced Gunners keeper Bernd Leno into a smart save from Sean Longstaff’s deflected effort, a lot of Newcastle fans would have been pretty content with the scoreline given how much they were forced to sit back at some stages.
However, as the whistle sounded for the second period, that was the start of a heavy decline – with quick-fire strikes from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe giving the Magpies a mountain to climb. From then on, despite Allan Saint-Maximin hitting the post, Newcastle looked out of ideas – with late goals from Mesut Ozil and Lacazette sealing an afternoon to forget as soon as possible for Steve Bruce’s side.
After the fourth goal, in particular, many supporters had seen enough – taking to Twitter and lambasting a ‘shocking‘ second-half outing.

Sky loving how useless we are but at the same time telling us what a fantastic job Bruce is doing putting 11 “people” on a football pitch as they look as if they have never met until kick off
