Lots of Newcastle United fans have been discussing Guillem Balague’s verdict on their former manager Rafa Benitez after the pundit told Genting Bet that he can see a return to St. James’ Park for the Spanish coach.
This would be under new stewardship as the takeover from the Saudi-led consortium fronted by businesswoman Amanda Staveley edges nearer to completion, but Balague warns that Rafa still has not heard anything from the Tyneside club at all.
Any potential return does not seem to be imminent, but the journalist insists that the supporters love the 60-year old and he loves the Magpies.
Indeed, Rafa managed 146 games as the NUFC’s boss, with the team winning 62 of those, drawing 30 and losing 54, scoring 209 goals and conceding 171, according to Transfermarkt.
If the Spaniard were to return, then Steve Bruce would have to make way under new ownership.
