Newcastle United: Fans discuss transfer links for Kalidou Koulibaly who Rafa Benitez ‘always wanted back’

Many Newcastle United fans have been discussing a transfer link to Kalidou Koulibaly after Foot Mercato reported that the Tyneside club have made contact over signing the Napoli man.
According to the article, the Magpies are also dreaming of signing Edinson Cavani and Nabil Fekir if the proposed takeover goes through at St. James’ Park.
One supporter claims that Koulibaly is a player that former manager Rafa Benitez ‘always wanted back’, referencing the time that the pair spent together in Italy whilst subtly hinting who he perhaps thinks may be in charge of the Toon next season.
Indeed, the 28-year old played 39 times under the Spanish coach in all competitions in the 2014/15 campaign, scoring one goal and providing two assists, as per Transfermarkt.
The central defender also wins 6.1 duels per Serie A game this term in addition to averaging 2.8 clearances, 2.6 tackles and 1.1 interceptions, according to Sofascore.
These NUFC fans discussed the transfer link to the Senegalese ace on Twitter:
As much as I'll love it, I don't see him moving in his prime to a club that can't guarantee European football. Maybe in a couple years at 30-31 we can make a compelling offer.

Who,at NUFC, is in contact with Napoli? Ashley isn’t going to sanction this, and the takeover as yet has not taken place
