Plenty of Newcastle United fans are fuming as transfer news emerged from The Daily Telegraph that Tottenham Hotspur are willing to extend the loan spell of Danny Rose at the Tyneside club for him to complete the season at St. James’ Park.
Indeed, this follows the news that the current Premier League campaign is set to resume on the 17th June with games between Aston Villa and Sheffield United and Manchester City against Arsenal following the global pandemic that swept across the footballing world.
Rose, who started the term off at Spurs, moved up to the North East in the January transfer window, but has arguably not impressed too much in the relatively short space of time that he has been there so far.
Should Newcastle sign Rose permanently given the chance?
The 29-year old has only managed six appearances in all competitions, according to Transfermarkt.
The left-back may have also rattled members of the Toon faithful by claiming on The Lockdown Tactics podcast (via Daily Mail) that he would like to play for Leicester City, therefore not pledging his loyalty to the Magpies.
These NUFC supporters fumed on Twitter and asked the Lilywhites to take him back:
Or they could do us a favour and take him back
