Some Newcastle United fans are fuming after The Chronicle's official Twitter page asked if any members of the Toon faithful would sign Valentino Lazaro permanently in this summer's transfer window.

Reports from the Daily Mail have stated that the Tyneside club have agreed a potential transfer fee of £19.75 million if they would like to take up the option of signing the 24-year old permanently at the end of the season, having already agreed a £1.25 million loan fee. In total, that would add up to £21 million for Lazaro.

The Austrian international has only managed five appearances in all competitions for the Magpies so far, scoring one goal but also receiving a red card against Burnley in the 0-0 draw at home in the Premier League, as per Transfermarkt.

One NUFC supporter claims that he has never seen anybody give the ball away as much as Lazaro, and indeed the right-sided player loses possession 8.8 times per match in the top flight, according to Sofascore.
