Newcastle United: Fans hail takeover tweet from Shay Given

Loads of Newcastle United fans have hailed a tweet about the prospective takeover at St. James’ Park from former goalkeeper Shay Given.
The 44-year old shared a post from The Chronicle on his official Twitter page with a caption of two emojis with praying hands, which delighted several members of the Toon faithful.
This was in response to an article from ChronicleLive, which relayed comments made by Given on the proposed takeover in the North East.
As per Sky Sports (via ChronicleLive), the ex-Irish international said that it would be great for the Premier League if the deal were to go through, adding that if they have a strong team on the pitch in their home ground, it would be a very tough afternoon or night for the opposition.
Given also claimed that Magpies have had enough of Mike Ashley and admitted that it is exciting times for NUFC supporters.
