Newcastle United: Fans hilariously storm Sunderland post after rivals’ 3-0 loss

Sunderland succumbed to a terrible 3-0 loss away to Scunthorpe United in the Football League trophy on Tuesday evening, prompting lots of Geordies to deliver some banter in response.
Sunderland, who are currently seventh in League One after an average start to the season, failed in their quest to gain promotion last season – losing to Charlton Athletic in the play-off final.
Manager Phil Parkinson appears to have an uphill battle on his hands to try and get Newcastle’s arch rivals back up to the top two divisions in English football, meaning it could be a while before supporters see another Tyne-Wear derby.
To make up for their lack of visits on the pitch, Magpies supporters have settled for storming Chronicle journalist Craig Johns’ Twitter after the Black Cats lost away to Scunthorpe.
Lee Novak’s brace and a goal from Abo Eisa put the stamp on a terrible afternoon for Sunderland, with midfielder Luke O’Nien also being sent off.
Here’s what Newcastle fans said in response to the defeat.
But but but has Almiron scored a goal yet?

Sunderland really is a joke club now, no wonder they put in such terrible performances with such bad fans. Imagine thinking you will get promoted straight back to the PL and instead you end up in league one, I am still laughing #NUFC #SAFC
