Speaking to the outlet, the journalist responded to a question following a Q&A session on their website which asked if the Tyneside club or the buyer have any rights to force a decision to be made, given certain circumstances.
Ryder claimed that it is loose talk because nobody to whom he has spoken has confirmed that there have been any hold-ups or used the word ‘delay’. He believes that it was always going to take a good few weeks to get to the end game and claims that there has been nothing on the record from anybody to suggest that it has been delayed. The writer added that it is a legal process, in the hands of the Premier League, that is taking place amid the coronavirus pandemic.

I don’t even see how it’s been ‘delayed’
It’s a 4 week process in normal circumstances. Everyone can see ours is not normal with the BeIn situation. Plus half the world is in lockdown, hardly going to fly through the process.

How do you know it’s 4 weeks Tuesday though? Nobody really knows when it started.
