Newcastle United: Fans react to Miguel Almiron’s transfer links to Arsenal and Inter Milan
Miguel Almiron has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Inter Milan this summer and as expected loads of Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to share their views.
The Paraguay international has scored six goals and provided one assist in all competitions for the Magpies this season (Transfermarkt).
Miggy has become somewhat of a fan favourite amongst the Toon Army with his iconic goal celebration straight from Dragon Ball Z becoming a viral hit.
The 26-year-old struggled to find his feet at first but has scored five goals in the past 13 games, including a double against Championship side West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns, taking him above Newcastle veteran Jonjo Shelvey to become the club’s leading goalscorer for the season (Transfermarkt).
Surprisingly the latest transfer links have drawn a mixed reaction from the Black and Whites faithful, with some fans suggesting he should leave the club in the summer. Others are desperate for the Paraguayan to stay, with one supporter bluntly saying “hands off!”
