Newcastle United: Fans react to Mike Ashley claim from man who attempted a club takeover

Some Newcastle United fans have reacted to a claim regarding Mike Ashley from a man who attempted a takeover of the Tyneside club.
GACP Sports Capital chairman Joseph DaGrosa, who opened up about his attempts to buy the Magpies to NBC Sports (via ChronicleLive), claimed that whilst you may get punched in the face by the CEO of Sports Direct, you will never get knifed in the back.
The former Bordeaux guru also revealed that he dodged a bullet by not buying NUFC from the 55-year old, despite having discussions with Justin Barnes.
He said that it was unfortunate and disappointing that the deal did not go forward, as a major backer on his side apparently pulled out at the last minute.
Nevertheless, DaGrosa is eyeing deals to buy other clubs as valuations are going down.
These members of the Toon faithful reacted to his claim about their owner on Twitter, with one supporter suggesting he should “ask [Kevin] Keegan” about it:
