Just yesterday, Chronicle Live reported that Lille striker Victor Osimhen was firmly on Steve Bruce’s radar as a potential partner to Joelinton up front – as the club potentially prepare a huge summer overhaul.
Osimhen, who scored 20 goals and notched four assists for Belgian side Charleroi last season, as per Transfermarkt, signed for Lille in the summer after impressing in the Jupiler Pro League.
His fine form has continued this campaign, with the Nigerian forward bagging seven goals in just ten Ligue 1 appearances so far this season – proving that he can score consistently in the bigger leagues.
Despite the statistics backing up that Osimhen could well be the real deal for Newcastle, the St. James’ Park faithful remain unconvinced by what the 20-year-old could potentially offer the club.
Major rebuild and then linking us to one new player 😂

be nice if we focussed on giving our record signing some midfield support rather than replacing/competition
