Newcastle United: Fans respond to news that Lee Charnley will sit in Premier League’s Project Restart meeting

Loads of Newcastle United fans have responded to the news that Lee Charnley will sit in the Premier League’s Project Restart meeting, as per ChronicleLive.
The Tyneside club are believed to be nearing the end of the top flight’s owner’s and director’s test, but chiefs in England’s highest division did not comment when asked by the outlet whether the procedure was completed.
The managing director has been touted for an early exit ahead of the proposed takeover at St James’ Park but his presence is a requirement from Premier League chiefs as they address just how the 2019/20 season resumes.
Big decisions in France, Holland and Belgium to cancel their respective leagues have added pressure to chiefs in the top flight to follow suit but the fact the Bundesliga could well restart before England’s premier division offers an air of slight optimism.
The Premier League are relying on government approval and have had clear criteria from Boris Johnson on what the restart would look like.
These members of the Toon faithful responded to the news on Twitter:
Simple! The takeover isn’t going to happen! It’s all Ashley again up to his tricks to deflect from his bad press in relation to SD shops trying to stay open/hiking prices etc

Could still be blocked with the USA providing a watchlist on request of the premier League

Hugely important that key footballing figures such as Lee Charnley are able to create and shape the strategy for re-emerging from this complex medical and scientific conundrum. Don’t listen to the science #ListenToLee
