Newcastle United: Fans divided over Rolando Aarons

Newcastle United: Fans divided over Rolando Aarons - Newcastle United

Rolando Aarons first burst onto the scene during the 2014/2015 season, showing signs of potential with his displays down the wing, but now some Newcastle supporters think his time should be up amid many years seemingly out of the picture.

The 24-year-old, who is currently out on loan at Wycombe Wanderers, has made just 18 league appearances for the Magpies since his debut season – spending time in the reserves whilst also going out on temporary spells to Hellas Verona, FC Slovan Liberec and Sheffield Wednesday.

Will Benitez ever return to Newcastle?

Analysing his omission from the first team, particularly during Rafael Benitez’ spell in charge of the club, many supporters have been left wondering why he is still donning the Magpies jersey from time to time – and how he hasn’t been sold on by now.

There could be many answers to this question, one of them being that he hasn’t impressed enough whilst on loan to warrant a permanent deal, or that the board are patiently waiting on the right offer.

Regardless, some fans have taken to Twitter to blast Aarons for ‘robbing a living’, while some others suggested he could still offer something for the club, with one fan even pointing the finger of blame at Benitez.
