Plenty of Newcastle United fans have turned on Mike Ashley after the latest takeover news was relayed by The Chronicle on Twitter.
An article was co-written by journalists Mark Douglas and Andrew Musgrove which suggested that new takeover talks are imminent as insiders at the club have said that approaches have been made by prospective new owners.
As per the report, businesswoman Amanda Staveley as well as her representatives have started hunting for potential candidates to fill in roles for a new regime at Newcastle.
Paperwork for the proposed takeover has been submitted to the Premier League but lawyers for the top flight are not yet working on tests from the owners and directors and nobody from the league has met the potential ownership team.
The report also mentions that United are one of only two Premier League clubs who have not submitted their annual accounts yet, and apparently the figures will not be able to be viewed for another three months.
An earlier article from Lee Ryder stated that Mike Ashley insists that no price has been agreed and no funds have been paid yet, leaving potential new suitors for the ownership to wait a little longer.
Some supporters turned on their owner after reading the news:
Another message emerging that the previous message wasn't in fact a message at all. It was however just another reminder of who and what are involved in this continuing charade which is yet another distraction from the incessant misdeeds of those involved. 🙄 #nufc

Give him what he wants to get him gone, although i doubt he will sell even if anybody matches his valuation.
