Some Newcastle United fans have turned sceptical after a tweet about the prospective takeover in the North East emerged from NUFC 360‘s Twitter page.
As per the post, the admin is taking the apparent lack of news about the proposed takeover, both positive and negative, as a good thing, especially the apparent sudden void of negative stories.
They added that hopefully things are on the last stretch and that the next thing they hear is ‘#cans‘, which has been used by several members of the Toon faithful to describe their excited feelings towards the prospective deal at St. James’ Park.
Indeed, if the Premier League approve of the bid from the Saudi-led consortium, then they would take over from the ownership of Mike Ashley, who has been the owner of the Magpies for 13 years.
However, it seems as if some NUFC supporters have turned sceptical about the whole situation given the apparent lack of news, rather than believing it is a good thing.
Do you think that the proposed takeover will go through this week?

Still plenty of time for the negative. The players went back training today so that took the spotlight today.

Obviously I know nothing but I feel like it can’t go on for longer than next Friday surely

I honestly don’t think they are even handling our takeover at the moment. I think it’s completely on the back burner till the restart is sorted. Could be weeks.
