Newcastle United’s Joelinton and Jamaal Lascelles have recovered from injury and will be available to face Watford, according to The Chronicle.
The pair are key to the Magpies’ fortunes, with the former being their record signing and the latter being club captain.
Joelinton came off against Tottenham Hotspur with a groin problem, but Bruce has since put that down to fatigue rather than it being a serious injury.
Lascelles picked up a slight calf injury in the same match, but he was named on the bench against Leicester City and is expected to play against Watford.
Allan Saint-Maximin will not be available though, after he had a recurrence of his hamstring injury.
Joelinton has played all three of the Magpies’ Premier League games since joining the club, scoring his first goal for the club when he notched the winner against Tottenham Hotspur, as per WhoScored.
He has shown himself to be a real handful, having won 4 aerial duels per game, as well as averaging 1 key pass, 0.7 dribbles and completing 84% of his attempted passes.
The Brazilian has also worked hard defensively, making 1.3 tackles, 1.3 clearances and 1 foul per game.
Lascelles has also played in all three of Newcastle’s matches, averaging 1 tackle, 2.7 interceptions, 5.7 clearances and 1 block per game – which highlights how much of a resolute presence he has been at the back.
Having Joelinton and Lascelles available will be a massive boost for Newcastle as they look to beat Watford.
They have both proved their importance already this campaign, so having them in the side definitely makes Bruce’s side a more daunting proposition.
