Newcastle United: Magpies fans finish Allan Saint-Maximin’s sentence - Newcastle United

Plenty of Magpies reacted to a tweet from Allan Saint-Maximin sharing footage of the Newcastle United star working out on a punching bag. 

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all players and staff have been told to stay away from Benton training ground, and the 23-year-old is exercising at home to keep his fitness levels up. Saint-Maximin uploaded a video of the French speedster taking his anger out on a punching bag and captioned the footage with an open-ended six-word sentence for his fans to fill in the blanks.

The Frenchman wrote “I wish this punching bag was…”

Newcastle’s number 10 has scored 2 goals in 18 Premier League appearances for Steve Bruce’s Black and Whites, taking 1.7 shots on average, completing at least 4.4 dribbles, and averaging 1.3 key passes in the English top-flight (WhoScored).

Predictably, this prompted loads of hilarious reactions, with several supporters poking fun at Daily Mail journalist Craig Hope, who has sustained a lot of criticism from the Toon Army in recent months for his allegations over the relationship between Bruce and Saint-Maximin.
