Newcastle fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking at their match with Arsenal on Sunday with some confidence after their fine run of form and will be looking to confirm their future in next year’s Premier League.
The Magpies will host the Gunners and will know that a point will be crucial in their efforts and Rafa Benitez’s side will be looking to get a positive result. Should the Toon Army survive the drop, the club would be in a better position to make transfers and have already started to plan for their summer recruitment drive.
According to Turkish Football, Newcastle have identified Okay Yokuslu from Trabzonspor as someone who could have a bright future in the game. The north-east outfit are not the only top-flight team rumoured to be interested, with Leicester City also thought to be keen as it has been revealed (by Milliyet) he has a minimum release clause of just £6.6million. In fact, the Magpies are even said to have made an enquiry.
The defensive midfielder has been impressing in the Super Liga and many believe he will be able to adapt well to the Premier League due to some of the traits he has been showing in recent months.
The Newcastle fans in the Tavern will look ahead to the weekend’s clash with Arsenal to ensure they maintain their Premier League status, although a number of the locals will be looking forward to seeing who the club can bring in during the summer.
