Responding to a verdict from the United Stand presenter Mark Goldbridge on Twitter, many Newcastle United fans have been seething with his Premier League Hall of Fame exclusion of Magpies legend Alan Shearer - going on to blast the YouTuber on social media.

Following news that the Premier League is introducing a Hall of Fame, with the first two inductees set to be announced in March, supporters from all over the division have banged their heads together over who the lucky duo may be. Goldbridge, who presents on YouTube channel The United Stand, came up with his would-be nominees - leaving out Newcastle legend and all time league top scorer Alan Shearer.

The Englishman, who has scored a record 260 Premier League strikes, made 303 appearances for boyhood club Newcastle from the mid-1990s to mid-2000s - scoring 148 goals in the process (SoccerBase). However, according to Goldbridge, judging by his omission, Shearer shouldn't be in the conversation.

As a result, many Magpies supporters have hit back in debate - find all of their best comments down below.
