Micky Quinn joined Andrew Musgrove on the Everything is Black and White Podcast to discuss some of the biggest issues currently at Newcastle and one of them are definitely the tactics.

The Magpies added another defeat under their belts last Saturday when they faced Crystal Palace away from home and fell short after a narrow 1-0 loss.

But the worst thing about that clash was the lack of any kind of direction, with Quinn suggesting that Steve Bruce doesn't really have clear tactics set for matches.

Here's what he said on the Everything is Black and White Podcast (26/2/2020): "We just don't know what the tactics were. I don't know what the tactics were, was it just to nick a point? We sat so deep. So like I said, tactically I don't know what Steve Bruce was thinking but at the same time, that is not good enough."

It seems that Quinn is heavily disappointed with not just the defeat itself but also the manner in which Newcastle were beaten by Crystal Palace.

Currently, the Magpies are sitting around the middle of the table and are seemingly safe from relegation at this point but they are still lacking any clear sense of direction.

For Quinn, that is a major problem on the coach's hands.
